Ingredients
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2-3 cups of pecans
Directions
  1. In pan, add the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and water. Heat over medium stirring occasionally.
  2. When this mixture comes to a boil, stir continuously for 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in the pecans.  Start with 2 cups and if there is a lot of syrup left once they have been stirred in, add more pecans. Add more pecans as long as there is enough syrup to coat them.
  4. Cook the pecans for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously so the nuts on the bottom do not burn.
  5. Pour the pecans on parchment and spread out. Let cool.
  6. Once cooled, and no longer tacky, put in an airtight container.
