Secretary Naig Invites Students to Join the 2022 Choose Iowa Calendar Contest

DES MOINES, Iowa (April 7, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig is encouraging school-age students to participate in the 2022 Choose Iowa Calendar Contest hosted by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. Artwork submitted should feature at least one aspect of Iowa agriculture — food, livestock, crops or renewable fuels, for example. Submissions will be judged on both creativity and the ability to connect agriculture to everyday life.

24 Choose Iowa Coloring Calendar Contest Winners Honored at Iowa State Fair

DES MOINES, Iowa (Aug. 17, 2021) – Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig presented awards to the winners of the 2020 and 2021 Choose Iowa Coloring Calendar contest during a ceremony at the 2021 Iowa State Fair. The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship received an abundance of submissions from K-12 students statewide over the past two years and narrowed it down to 12 student artists for the September 2020-August 2021 calendar and 12 students for the September 2021-August 2022 issue.
